About Me

I am an Assistant Professor of Physics in the Center for Solar-Terrestrial Research(CSTR) at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). My research focuses on solar radio astronomy, with a particular emphasis on understanding the physics of solar flares, coronal heating, and space weather drivers.

I am a member of the NJIT solar radio group, led by Prof. Bin Chen, which operates the Expanded Owens Valley Solar Array (EOVSA)—a premier solar radio array originally built and long directed by the legendary Prof. Dale Gary, now retired. Over the past several years, I have contributed extensively to the development and scientific exploitation of EOVSA, leading efforts in data calibration, imaging, and synoptic solar monitoring.

My current research directions include:

  • Using microwave imaging spectroscopy to probe particle acceleration in solar flares
  • Using microwave/radio imaging spectroscopy for coronal magnetography
  • Developing new image-based indices (such as F10.7im) to improve space weather forecasting

Beyond research, I am dedicated to teaching and mentoring students, helping them build both technical expertise and scientific creativity.
